檸檬茶既可以是會考的作文題目，又可以是下午三點三的飲品。不過，既甜又酸，根本也就是人生的寫照。畢業將近，總有絲絲離愁別緒的情懷，覺得跟故友的距離又增加了不少。人家說「少年不知愁知味」。我好歹也是個二十出頭的少年，不過已時有「對人歡笑背人愁」之感。我的愁，有點不知天高地厚。既不是國破家亡，又不是牛衣對泣。或許根本就是孔子所述的「君子坦蕩蕩，小人長戚戚」。人家說自己的那杯檸檬茶是甜，因為他們始終沒有飲到底。需知道沒有勇氣做君子，才做唯利是圖的小人。

「巴士亞叔」陳乙東一夜成名。今天暫且不談它的新聞價值是否比特首出訪廣西或者陳水扁的醜聞高，因為香港傳媒從來如此。根本「無得救」。

可是，從陳乙東一事之中我卻可以悟出另一個道理來。陳生一生人波折重重，曾經入獄，失業大半輩子。現在他卻因為在巴士上向人破口大罵而成功脫離失業大軍，獲得一份九千月薪的工作。香港有些大學生，辛辛苦苦完成大學學位後獲公司會面。換來的可能是一句：「五千五一個月做唔做？唔做出面大把人做。」你看看辦公室，隨了那個如狼似虎想跟你拼過的「U Mich」外，就是那班做到不似人形的職員。

香港社會就是這麼奇怪。有運氣、有人氣，青蛙都可變王子。年青人如其日日在家「煲」王子變青蛙，倒不如出去闖闖。固步自封，只會令你成為井底之蛙。

上星期，我跟朋友們、跟賓大說了再見。人來人往，從來都是不變的定律。往事只能成追憶。把記憶放在內心深處，他日驀然回首，也許會有另一番的體會。

回到香港，一切依舊。我仍然為找暑期實習的事而煩惱。巴塞隆拿對阿仙奴，前者贏得的是冠軍；後者贏得的是一份精神。十個人在球場上不停跑動，抵擋住巴塞隆拿如狼似虎般的攻勢。氣力是不夠的了，用的就只有那份打拚的精神。可惜世事怎會盡人意？汗水是出了，冠軍卻溜走了。

還是接受現實，向前看或許有另外的機會。

從前做學生很簡單，只要把努力把書讀好就會有好成果。現在找工作，說的是經驗，說的是關係，說的是運氣。努力當然重要，但它不能保證你在這戰場上可以得勝。找不到工作的人自然擔心。他們當中有很多其實並不是有經濟困難，為的只是一份「不值」的感覺。「某某有工作了。」這一句話在他們耳中很不爽。因為，他們自覺懷才不遇。

找到工作的人也怕。不說話怕別人說他不夠資格，說得多又怕人說「一朝得志」。有些人又喜作比較。別人的工資比自己的好，就怨天尤人。有些更甚者會去?黑別人，把自己的人格也賠了出去。

臨淵羡魚，不如退而結網。對自己有信心的人，最於可得勝。縱使努力不能為你帶來成功，它至少可以把你裝備好，把握即將降臨的機遇。其實，別人成功了，祝福一下別人，欣賞別人的優點；自己成功了，跟家人朋友分享一下喜悅，吸取一下經驗就好了。畢竟，這不過是人生的其中一頁。

記得我們敬重的李家鴻校長曾經跟我們說過，皇仁就好像一個小池塘。從前的舊生、老師，把這小小的池塘，苦心經營。把汙泥除去、把植物種上、把魚苗放進去。漸漸，魚苗大起來，池塘富起來。今天，我們所享用的正是前人百多年來的成果。後人在享用成果的同時，也要把新魚苗放進去，帶入新技術，好讓池塘可以造福更多的師弟。

要以作為「皇仁仔」而傲，難；要皇仁以一個舊生為傲，更難。大家都以後者為目標。皇仁不成文的傳統是，醫法理工為上，文史哲次之，商科為下。我在皇仁也稱得上是半個狀元，還記得當日我選科大工管時，已帶來很多壓力。現在回首，或許其他人是對的。在理想和麵包二者之中，我選了後者。現在才發覺我根本不喜歡吃麵包，但理想已一去不返了。

中文大學男子划艇隊，昨日在「第十九屆香港兩大賽艇錦標賽」男子八人單槳有舵決賽中，以十一分二六秒一八的時間，快對手香港大學超過三十一秒率先衝過終點，連續五年贏得賽事錦標。至於女子四人單槳有舵決賽，過去三年均屈居亞軍的港大，則成功憑「領放戰術」力克中大，繼 ○ 一年後再嘗稱后的滋味。

儘管由上周六晚開始天氣一直不太穩定，卻無阻這項由八七年開始舉辦、倣效英國牛津劍橋划艇錦標賽的「兩大盛事」在沙田城門河上演。今屆賽事共設五場比賽，壓軸重頭戲「兩大男子八人單槳有舵」，雙方鬥三千米。過去十八屆共十三次封王的中大，起步應聲彈出，隊員完全未有受到疾風及急流所影響，由一千米開始便放甩對手，最後足足快港大三十一秒掄元。

「全隊上下都好開心，因為今次係我第一次參加『兩大』，同埋『 9 ? 18 』係我生日，幫中大成為五連霸，真係一份絕佳的生日禮物！」昨日剛滿二十歲的黃敏彥，除了獲一面冠軍獎牌為生日禮物外，隊友亦送他一份厚禮，就是將他掟落水！

It is so true as all of us are going to face different challenges everyday. We can choose to face them and improve ourselves. Or, we can try to escape from them. Sean asked about our definition of success in the mentorship orientation program. I have one for my own indeed, which was modified by myself from a famous statement of Sir Winston Churchill, 'Success is the way to keep your enthusiasm after failures.' Everyone must have faced some kind of failures in their path of life. Donald Tsang could not be admitted to the university, Rudolph Giuliani has prostate cancer, Nelson Mandela was in jail... What makes the above people success is their determination towards their goals, their believes. I can say I am proud of myself at this particular moment because all the things I have now, including my prestige, my opportunies, my knowledge... are the result of my abilities but not my linkages.

Met my mentor today, hopefully both of us can be benefited. I should think of my long term career goal now. Actually I am still having the desire of working in an investment bank...

Worked in C&S for three days already. I enjoy the time there although the work load is heavy. It is because I have a lot to learn there and the atmosphere there is very warm. The experience really changed my preception of the government a lot.

Driving test and exchange interview will be on next week. Let's fulfil my last goal in this summer: UPenn.

Last but not least, I needa meet my friends. Miss them much. Miss the jokes much.

I had a nice talk with Miss Ku and Ms. Choi today. I truly love sharing my lives with them because they are always the people who can inspire you. I discussed the excahange stuffs with Ms. Choi, she gave me some advices but she also ask me to think of myself. I agreed with her that I should make a decision which can convince myself at this particular moment, no matter how do others say. We also talked about the future career lives, she asked if I will work for an I-Bank and if I am going to strive for money desperately... Oh, I know it isn't me. But it seems that every Gbuser should has this kind of aggression, am I right? Again, the right track is to convince myself.

May I quote this sentence from Mitch Albon's 'Tuesdays with Morrie':

Finally finished all the exams yesterday, that's the end my first year in HKUST.

I dunno why i care about my grades so much at this moment, maybe becoz of the coming exchange opportunities, maybe becoz I know how cruel is the world: 'no grade, no say.' Is there anything more important that grades? How about our friendships? How about our family? Please dun make me mad, UST.
